"Solidarity Education" Award in Uruguay
On March 31, the third edition of "Solidarity Education" Award and the launching of the 2017 contest were held in the Assembly Hall of the Executive Tower of the Presidency of Uruguay.
Accompanied the Ceremony Prof. Rosita Angelo, Director of Education; Prof. Celsa Puente, Director of the Secondary Education; Agr. Nilsa Pérez, Director of Technical Education; Luis Garibaldi, Counselor of Educational Training; Ignacio Hernaiz, Director of the OEI-Mercosur Office in Uruguay; Lic. Alejandro Gimelli, CLAYSS Executive Coordinator of the Program for the Promotion of Service-Learning in Uruguay and Martín Nuin, Director of the Civil Association El Chajá.
A total of 66 Educational Experiences were presented: 17 of Kinder and primary Educational Centers, 26 of secondary, 13 of Technical, 4 of Teachers Training and 6 of Non-formal Education centers of Educational Ministry, Social Development Ministry and Civil Society Organizations from 14 departments of the country.
In the emotional ceremony, awards were given to the service-learning projects of 14 educational institutions and also 12 special mentions.
In addition, the launching of the 2017 contest was made, which will be open until August 31, 2017.
