IV Service-Learning Researchers Symposium



The fourth edition of the Service-Learning Researchers Symposium was held on August 23rd at the Centro de Altos Estudios Universitarios (CAEU - OEI Argentina).
The inaugural session was attended by Dr. Andrew Furco, a founding member of the Association, who spoke about the Conference and the activities of IARSLCE, was accompanied by Luis Scasso, of the Center for Higher University Studies-OEI and Maria Alejandra Herrero, President of CLAYSS. Afterwards, a selection of the most outstanding papers continued, among which Furco, Manuel Caire Espinoza (Universidad Alberto Hurtado de Chile), José Tomás Montalva Carmona (Universidad Católica de Chile), Laura Rubio Serrano (Universidad de Barcelona, Spain), Marcela Martínez Vivot and Martín Ierullo, among others, were presented.
For the symposium, 65 presentations were received, of which 60 were approved by peer review. 51 were those exhibited orally or presented on posters at different times of the morning and afternoon. A total of 110 people who are carrying out research related to Service-Learning or participating in solidarity educational experiences in their institutions participated, 85 of those attending were from other countries in Latin America, North America and Europe.
