October 2nd Ma. Rosa Tapia, Candelaria Ferrara and Luz Avruj, from CLAYSS team, met throughout the day with Universities, NGOs and representatives of Ministries of Education with whom we are working on the development of service-learning in the region. It was the third. Partners Meeting of this Program, and the first to be held in a country of the region.

On October 3, the 1st Service-Learning Conference in Central and Eastern Europe was held at Gazi Husrev-begova Biblioteka. About 75 people shared the inaugural conference of Prof. Nieves Tapa, as well as plenary sessions that explored the situation of service learning in the region and the rest of Europe. In the afternoon, concurrent sessions were held to share service-learning experiences at different educational levels and countries.

From October 4 to 6, CLAYSS professionals conducted a Service-Learning Training for Trainers Course with the participation of 35 educators from the region. It was a valuable space for sharing and mutual learning that we hope will foster the growth of the theme in the region and give greater visibility to the experiences that are already being carried out.
