Service-learning in the Arts in Higher Education

On Saturday, April 20th, they participated in the third Biennial of Researchers in Art Criticism, where they transmitted their experience with the DeUNA workshop developed in day care centers for the elderly. They were also present at the 5th Edition of the Congress on Scenic Trends, Present and Future of the Show, organized by the Faculty of Design and Communication of the University of Palermo. Within the area of Scene without Borders (Escena sin Fronteras), the meeting was shared with a heterogeneous panel of ten groups of exhibitors grouped under the title Health, Education and Politics.

The project of the Transdepartmental Area of Arts Criticism of the National University of the Arts (UNA) has been declared of educational interest by the Undersecretariat of Educational Planning and Innovation of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and its implementation in public schools and gardens is planned. It is also planned to take the experience to small towns and cities in the province of Buenos Aires with little access to this type of practice. From these locations come many students from the UNA. The idea is, in the future, to frame this growth in an "Incubator of social intervention projects" in which the three basic activities of the university (teaching, research and extension) feed back into each other.
