Uruguay at the 21st International Conference

 

 

The Councillor of CODICEN Prof. Laura Motta has participated especially in the”IV Forum of public policies to promote service-learning” by strengthening the commitment of the Uruguayan authorities with the proposal.

Student Victoria Julio and Assistant Principal Prof. Gabriela Aquino, representatives of the high school ¨José Alonso and Trelles¨ de Tala, Canelones, participated in the PLENARY: Award Winning Experiences of the Presidential Prize "Solidarity Schools" 2017 of Argentina and the Solidarity Education contest 2017 of Uruguay with the project “Extending bridges between Primary and Secondary Education”.

Also the students and teachers Elena Sanin, Gimena Eguia, María José Vinçon and Eliana Uzuca represented the IFD Rosario, Colonia participated in the Panel: Service-learning and teacher training presenting the project Traces in shepherding.

Prof. Gianella Canavessi represented the Liceo San Gregorio de Polanco, Tacuarembó, presenting the project Rediscovering paths to know my City in the Panel: Service-learning in the field of Social Sciences and training for active citizenship.

Ignacio Hernaiz, Director of the OEI MERCOSUR-Uruguay Office, participated in the closing of the Conference and in the reading of the conclusions of the youth who participated in the "Meeting of Solidarity Students".
