Solidarity Project celebrates 20 years of caring for the environment of Mar del Plata
The Technical School N° 3 "Domingo Faustino Sarmiento", which is located 15 blocks from the center of the city of Mar del Plata and receives students from all over the district of General Pueyrredón, began in 1999 a project that, to this day, continues with the same commitment of the educational community and the neighborhood.
The "Project Arroyo La Tapera" began with the demand of the neighbors regarding the water they obtained from the well. From that moment on, the students carry out bacteriological analyses and water samples that are taken to the laboratory, where they then inform the recipients of the results. All the activities they carry out focused on water and the different problems that affect and even damage part of the homes and spaces in the area.
The students who have participated in the solidarity educational experience throughout the years have transferred the knowledge and experiences acquired to other students as well as to their community, being able to update themselves both in the practical and in the theoretical. This allowed them to reach a level of knowledge that, in addition to opening up job expectations and the possible insertion into related careers, increased the quality of school work and their commitment to the project and the institution.
