Colleagues from Central and Eastern Europe in the XVI International Service-Learning Week

On Monday August 26 we held a meeting with members of CLAYSS to train and lay the foundations for the production of the call and evaluation instruments for the CEE Service-Learning Award to be launched for solidarity educational experiences in Central and Eastern Europe.
On Tuesday August 27, our colleagues participated of the Visits Program to educational solidarity projects in which they visited 2 projects: Secondary School N° 34 "María Luisa Anido" and School of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires. They then shared their experience of SL in the region with over 50 colleagues from Latin America in the XXII Meeting of the Ibero-American Service-Learning Network.

On Wednesday 28, following the activities of the SL Week, the colleagues from CEE met authorities of the National Solidarity Education Programme of the Argentine Ministry of Education and members of CLAYSS. In this case the work focused on the vast experience that the National Program has to fertilize reflection and exchange for local adaptation to the recognition of solidarity educational experiences.
Finally, on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 our colleagues participated of the 22nd International Service-Learning Conference. It was a place in which they could meet in with students, teachers, researchers, officials and leaders of social organizations from many parts of the world to exchange experiences and knowledge, listen to leading international specialists and institutions that promote Service-Learning as a pedagogical proposal. Zeljka Marjanovic shared MIOS´ experience in strengthening SL in Bosnia Herzegovina as well as that of the CEE SL Network in the opening panel "SL in the World", and Jehona Gjurgjeala shared TOKA´s experience in developing SL in Kosovo in the concurrent session "SL in nonprofit organizations".
