The Service-Learning Project from “José Hernández” High School Has Been Transformed Into a Law
The high school had been working on this project since 2009, trying to improve protection of the area from hunting and contamination and in 2011 it earned a mention in the “Escuelas Solidarias” Presidential Award.
The goal of the project was to have students act as environmental activists and educate the community on ways to protect and conserve Lake Brava as a communal and natural space.
