23rd International Service-Learning Conference
Due to current restrictions on the coronavirus pandemic, the XVII International Service-Learning Week will be held online from 24th to 28th August, including the 23rd International Service-Learning Conference. The Conference has constituted in an annual space where students, teachers, researchers, officials and leaders of social organizations from all over Latin America and around the world exchange experiences and knowledge, listen to renowned international specialists and create networks for further coworking. In these particular times, we will work to strengthen a virtual space of exchange and growth for all those who participate in the different activities scheduled for the Week. Its objectives are:
To offer a space for training and updating in the pedagogy of service-learning for teachers, directors and students of all educational levels, as well as for members and leaders of community organizations and civil society.
To promote the exchange of ideas and experiences among schools, and universities in Argentina, Latin America and other regions of the world that develop educational solidarity projects.
Expand the spaces for exchange between civil society organizations and the formal education system to benefit educational equity and quality.
As in previous years, it brought together national and international education specialists and allowed them to reflect in panels, workshops and plenary sessions on the pedagogy of service-learning in schools, universities and civil society organizations and its evolution in the last twenty-two years.
