The Arts Program begins its second year

During 2017 and 2018, the Support Program for Solidary Educational Institutions "Aprendizaje-Servicio Solidario en las Artes" supported schools and institutions of Higher Education in Argentina by offering training and technical assistance to teachers, directors, CSO leaders, public officials linked to education, and students involved in service-learning and artistic education projects.
One of the main purposes of the first year of the Program was to build evidence and experience on how to promote service-learning as part of Arts Education in the formal education system; CLAYSS has worked closely with Argentine educational institutions that develop service-learning in art projects and we have seen the social impact they provide, improving their communities.
With this experience as a base, the second year begins with the objective of continuing to support institutions in Argentina and expanding the actions of the Program to Latin America, with the incorporation of two institutions in Brazil and working in Colombia in conjunction with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Javeriana University of Cali, Colombia.
