On-site Training Course in Vicariate of Education of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires

“I’ve learnt that service-learning is possible and that having students in leading roles, feeling protagonists, is also possible. The question is whether teachers will be capable of such transformation.” This was a thought shared by one of the participant of the course we offered thanks to the Vicariate of Education of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. The course consisted of 4 monthly on-site meetings, focus on AYSS programme, schedule and cross-cutting processes. Each meeting consisted of an exposition stage to work on theoretical aspects and good-practices experiences, and a workshop and coaching stage about institutional contexts. Each meeting lasted 3 hours. It was a positive experience since it enabled us to work with the institutional reality of each participant. Echoing the words on the first lines, as educators, we now wondered if we dare face this transformation.
